So it’s that time of the year again.

Halloweens, Thanksgiving, Black fridays, Cyber mondays, Demonic tuesdays and satanic wednesdays.

And between all this christmas hype, we also have COPs, yes, not police cops, that ask for “license and registration please”, but a different cop.

COP here is for Conference of Parties. This is an annual meet organised by UNFCC (The tree huggers of UN) where global leaders chill and talk about the environment.

They hop from one city to the other every year, last time it was Egypt, this time UAE, and next year it’s gonna be in timbuktu (no the UNFCC is yet to announce the official host)

So why should you care.

The decisions they take here, effect the future course of industries and people.

This can help you understand which are the upcoming industries (you know its been renewable for years now!), where to put your money in, what to avoid, and how to bring your business & services in alignment with these regulations.

That means spending more in renewable, cutting carbon, investing in strip clubs etc.

In the last round after going around in their gas guzzling cars and a long cavalcade (an average of 13 cars), the leaders announced their going to make a fund for poorer nations, so they can better cope up with climate change (no progress on that yet).

The current event is scheduled between 30th Nov to 12 Dec.

So this time, when the leaders chill and meet after blowing a bunch of gas in their swanky ass jets they are going to:

  1. Decide whether their carbon footprint is bigger than their egos.

  2. Discussing the possibility of a "Jet Owners Anonymous" support group.

  3. Contemplate whether their private jet's GPS should have a "scenic route with minimal emissions" option.

So, no, the theme is going to largely stick to how we can limit the rise in global temperatures to 1.5 degrees, & teaching penguins economics.

And also technologies and finance for the same.

So that’s about it, that was the ROBO cop story, No bad cop or good cop but ROBOCOP.
